[ Typically, when Kairi wakes up in a new world, she's there against her will. Whether it be kidnapping or... well, running from a kidnapping with Riku's help, she never gets to choose where she wants to go unless it's back home to the islands.

This time? It's no different.

With a quiet moan of discomfort, Kairi slowly pushes herself up off of the ground and rubs at her eyes a bit before looking around. ... Yeah, she definitely had no clue where she was. ]

[The first thing Kairi would've noticed would be the fact that there's a campfire set up alongside a tent.

And that she had been sleeping in someone's sleeping bag.]

Oh, you're up!

[As well as the fact that there's a certain youth sitting right next to her right now.]

[ ... Yep, she notices all of those things, and admittedly, it's really disorienting because she does not remember putting herself in that sleeping bag. Or building that fire. Or setting up that tent.

Or ever having met the teen sitting next to her.

She blinks a bit and rubs at her eyes again, then shakes her head a bit before looking back at him. He certainly looks harmless, and while she shivers from the feeling of some sort of darkness around, it's not him. Maybe something or someone's heart inside of him? She had her own in Sora's body before, so it was possible for it to happen to others too, wasn't it? That'd be something to ask about later. ]

Yeah, I am. [ She laughs a bit nervously. ] Um. Where am I, though?

Well, the obvious answer would be that you're in my campsite.

[There's a small chuckle.]

But to be more precise, we're somewhere near Madrid, or so the townsfolk said.

[And to be honest, he's been pretty bit suspicious about the girl, especially considering the fact that he met her by virtue of seeing her literally fell from the sky, as well as catching her mid-air from the second story.

...It was a pretty eventful day to be honest.]

[ Another bout of nervous laughter at his initial response, and Kairi sits up properly to rub at her head - mostly out of habit, which she realizes when she notices that she's actually not in pain like she typically would be. ... Huh. ]

Ah... is Madrid the main city of this world?

[ Poor, clueless Kairi. She shifts to sit with her legs crossed, grateful for the sleeping bag covering her - she wouldn't have been sitting that way if it wasn't for that - and she rests her elbows on her knees as she takes a better look around. ]

... How did you find me?

...not... really...?

[He's pretty sure that there's a lot of main cities in every region of the world, which is also weird since she's speaking as if she's not a native to this place...

...

Well, it's pretty possible that she's from the other side, he guessed.]

Uh, you kinda fell from the sky.

[ Kairi blinks once. Then again. Then a third time.

Then she proceeds to cover her face with her hands with an almost whine. How embarrassing. ... At least it explains why she wasn't in any pain upon waking up, because if he saw her falling, then he must have caught her. ]

I'm so sorry. I swear, that's not how I normally make any kind of entrance.

[ She only did it once! Why couldn't she have just toppled over out of a portal or something instead of falling from the sky? Geez... ]

[Because all three of them needs to fall from the sky at one point of their lives, totally.]

Well, even if it's not, it sure gave us- I mean, me, a scare.

[...That stupid blunder aside, he's going to just awkwardly laugh now.]

[ Hey. Hey hey hey, she caught that, which kind of makes her earlier suspicions seem a bit more like fact. She looks up at the other and rubs at her cheeks as if it'll get rid of the embarrassed flush on her cheeks. Then she holds out a hand to him. ]

Well, I guess that means I'm stuck here for a while until I can find a way back home. [ She pauses to smile again. ] I'm Kairi.

And I'm Judai Yuuki, 's nice to meetcha.

[He's going to well, take the offer and shake her hand.]

Sorry it's not much, but feel free to make yourself at home, if you'd like.

[As close to a home a tent can get anyways.]

[ Another glance around, and she gives his hand a light squeeze before pulling it back with a smile. ]

So you travel around a lot, huh? [ Kairi pauses to shift again, pulling her legs out from under the sleeping back and sitting a bit more appropriately as a result. ] You're not alone though, are you?

[ The question's asked casually, as if testing him for his answer. She's curious about it, really. ]

Yep, I like to see what kinds of duelist that are spread throughout the world.

[At that second question, though, he actually looked a bit surprised, before awkwardly scratching the back of his head in instinct.]

Ah, you noticed, huh...

[Judai, you did leave one big fat clue about it just now.]

Kind of.

[ The response is light, and Kairi laughs a little as she smiles brightly at him. ]

I can tell if there's darkness in a person's heart, and most people only have a little - the same amount that any normal person that gets angry or feels sad has. [ She pauses and tilts her head slightly, though she doesn't stop smiling. ] But with you, there's a little more. It's not really that threatening, though! It's like it's part of you, but different than you.

[ She moves to stand, then gets herself a little closer to the fire. It's not her fault she's used to tropic weather, thank you. ]

It's nothing bad, though. It surprised me a little when I noticed, though.

It's kind of a long story to explain, but yeah, you're right on most counts.

[This means it's his turn, right?]

What about you, though? Girls don't fall out from the sky everyday, you know.

I look forward to hearing about it.

[ And Kairi means it, too. She loves hearing about the lives of people, hearing all of the things they've done, the people they've met and are still friends with even if there's distance between them. It proves time and time again that no matter how far someone is from a friend, they're always connected, and it's something that always warms her heart every time she hears it.

Though, hearing Juudai's question to her, Kairi turns her head to look at him, then smiles again. ]

Well... I can say it's not the first time I've done it, I guess. There are many worlds in this universe with normal people just like you and I, though I guess... I'm not really supposed to be telling you that.

[ She pauses as she turns her attention to the fire, watching it for a few seconds before looking back at Juudai. ]

Hm. Well, either way, I'm definitely not from around here. And I can't say for sure what happened to even get me stuck here. Usually it's... something to do with being kidnapped, but if that's what this is, I'm not going to let it happen again.

Can't really say I get it, but I sort of get it.

[Someone who can travel to different worlds? Man, that sounds totally awesome, to be honest. Though he's sure those kind of things always come with responsibility.

Like one time a guy from the future dragged him to find Yugi Mutou in the past.

Time is a confusing concept to him alright.]

Well, guess until you can figure things out, you can travel with me!

[In case the sentence she spoke earlier meant that she's going to be staying the city.]

So I can have a strong guy like you keeping an eye out for me?

[ Kairi laughs, the tone of her voice a teasing sort - it never takes much for her to be comfortable enough to do things like that, anyway. She shifts and settles herself back onto her rear, both legs moving to stay straight, and she leans back on her hands to stare at the sky. ]

I think I might be able to handle myself out here. I won't learn unless I try, you know? [ She smiles over at Juudai. ] I hope you realize that you might be stuck with me for a while, though. I wouldn't even know where to start on trying to find my way back home.

Well, I ain't exactly that strong, but hey, that works too I guess!

[There's a grin on his face that's sort of close enough to another dork Kairi knows personally. But at that last sentence, he's going to just give her a gentle slap on the back.]

Hey, it's not exactly an adventure if you know where to go, right?

[ Yeah, that grin is close enough that Kairi feels a bit of a drop in her gut, heart twisting as it shoves itself into her throat - she misses Sora already, and Riku too. And though Juudai kind of reminds her of Sora, there are already enough differences between the two that there won't be a constant reminder, no fear of replacing one with the other. Not that she's the type to do that, anyway. But the feeling only lasts for a second before the touch snaps her out of it, and she laughs at his response as she leans a little closer to him. ]

Yeah, you're right. I've always wanted to go sightseeing... without having to worry about running from people or anything.

[ ... Hey, if she doesn't joke about the kidnapping stuff a little, she'll never get over it, right? Besides, everything that happened before had been for a reason, even if she didn't like it and she realizes that much. ]

[That works enough for him, but then he remembered he hasn't asked her the most common question he's asked people he has met in this place.]

I'm not sure if your place has 'em, but have you heard of something called Duel Monsters?

[ Kairi tilts her head at that, then slowly shakes her head. ]

No, I haven't. Do you fight them?

[ Look at her, right hand clenching as if ready to summon her Keyblade to prepare to fight. Isn't that just cute? ]

It's a card game! You know, the one with the really good portable holographic projectors and all?

[...must be a local thing to this world then, orz]

[ That's the conclusion she comes to in regards to that, and Kairi relaxes a bit, then shifts a little closer to Juudai. ]

I've never heard of it, but it sounds fun! Can you show me?

[ A world-exclusive or not, Kairi's definitely interested. Why not take the time to get to know what makes the world tick while she waits to figure out a way to get back home? ]

Sure! I'm always up for introducing people to the game!

[In fact, he's going to actually show her his deck case and then his deck as he got the cards out.]

These here constitutes a deck; most of the times people just put in 40 to 50 cards on them, you could put more in it, but generally they like having it in a low numbers!

[ Kairi leans over a bit, unable to keep from leaning against Juudai a little as she looks at the cards. It seems straightforward... until she sees the different colors of the frames, and reaches out to tap a Polymerization. ]

So why's this one green instead? Does it do something special?

Yeah, this here is a Magic Card, it allows you to do special things to your Monsters, or effect your opponent's in a bad way!

This one just fuses your own monsters together though.

[ Okay no, this sounds really cool. Kairi's settling herself down a bit to get more into it, eyes scanning the description of the card. After a moment of thought, she picks out two of his monsters, Burstinatrix and Avian, and holds them up with Polymerization. ]

So then you could use this card to put these two Monsters together... And there are even cards for these uh... Fusion Monsters?

Yeah, see?

[He's going to show her the purple-bordered card bearing the picture of what seemed to be a mix of the red-wearing woman and the green-suited man, with the words Elemental Hero Flame Wingman written on it in gold-lettering.

Seems like it's pretty rare.]

[ ... Okay no, that looks pretty cool, actually. Juudai you're impressing her a lot right now. Kairi gingerly takes the card between her fingers and pulls it closer to look over the text on the card. ]

Oh wow. This is... amazing, Juudai. [ She looks up from the card to flash him a bright smile in the midst of her awe. ] Whoever came up with this really put a lot of thought into these cards, didn't they?

Of course he did, an elaborate game like this wouldn't be possible if he hated creating this game, right?

[ Juudai. Juudai, you're a butt. But she laughs anyway and shakes her head. ]

I guess you're right. [ Kairi takes a moment to look at the sky, then frowns a bit. ] I shouldn't be keeping you up so late, though.

Well, you should get some more sleep too.

[Looking at her smiling face at least gave him an idea on what to do tomorrow.

Yep. He has a feeling this is going to be a busy week.]

Only if you promise you'll sleep, too.

[ Even though Kairi's smiling, she means it. She'll even force you to pinky-swear on it. ... Then again, she's clearly underestimating just how much Juudai likes to sleep, huh? ]

I'll try not to get too much in the way while I'm here with you, though.

Don't worry about me too much, sleeping is something I'll definitely do!

[He could hear Yubel's mental sigh, at the very least.]

And hey, I did say you could make yourself at home.

[As homey a wilderness could get anyways.]

[ Kairi lets her smile grow at that, and she hands him back his cards, then stands up, stretching a little. ]

Good night, Juudai. [ A pause as she makes her way closer to the fire again, opting to curl up there to sleep. ] I'm glad I met you.

Same here, Kairi!
