[She's just... tagging along for the points, really. I mean, it's not like she really cares if he manages to get himself killed off on a simple quest like this.]

So, that's all of the NPCs we need to talk to, right? We should start looking for those monsters.

That should be it, yeah.

[Boy, this sure is awkward, even for him, but hey at least he knew that she really could be counted on when it comes to long range support.]

Right, looking for them.

[Should be somewhere around one of them underground dungeons.]

Would it be faster to fly?

[She's got the basic layout of the game down, but naturally she isn't as familiar with specific locations as Klein and the others. It's only been two weeks, after all.]

I'd say that would work, but apparently they're around another one of those place where you can't fly.

[It'd practically be a normal dungeon like the ones in any standard MMO, SIGH.]

A no flight zone, huh?

[Ah well. Not like she's never had to walk through an MMO before.]

Are you going to take the lead, then? Unless you'd prefer I get all of the kills.

[He's the one who actually needs to be in close range to do any damage and all. Ha.]

[...There's just this click and whirring sound as he realized just who exactly he's partying with.

That moment when you realize that your partner can probably solo everything from afar.]

'Course I am! Our brave leader's not here today after all.

[Family business and things, apparently.]

[As long as he's not getting TOO close with that family okay no that was horrible.

She just gives an expectant look. You gonna get going or what?

We've got a field to the north, a ravine to the south, and forests east and west, all of them filled with the usual monster fare.]

[I never knew you could be this awful.

Yeah he's going, he's going! Predictably to the ravine, in fact.]

Alright then, let's finish it before dinner!

[He ordered pizza again, as usual.]

You're ordering food again?

[Geeze, Klein, so unhealthy. But she'll obligingly follow him, her bow held loosely - for now, at least. That will quickly change the moment they encounter monsters.]

[Sagely nod as they neared the edge of the ravine they need to jump off on.]

Of course I do, they're having this delivery special again!

[Which meant he's a bit tight in terms of budget.

W-well, it's more like I overspent again.

[Aside from subscription fees, that is.]

You don't know how to work on a budget at all, do you?

[She is still in high school and still doing a better job of living within her means than you are. Do you feel ashamed yet?]

[You're talking to the guy who immediately bought a NervGear and all the accessories for it when SAO was announced.]

Why am I here, again.

[ While he's not entirely sure how Klein's roped him into a party, he's here nonetheless without much of a complaint until now. His tone is mostly dry, but anyone knowing him long enough should be able to recognise it as teasing. ]

Anyway. . . Material searching for upgrades, right? You could've asked your guild members to help. You'd have more people.

[ So he says, but it was actually kind of nice being asked. . . ]

Well, yeah, but it's been a while since we hung out like this, y'know.

[Considering both of them had been spending time in the front line a lot already, it's only normal for him to try to unwind.

Even if his idea for it is just material searching with possibly strong monsters being the one that drops them.]

I guess so. [ He's purposefully drawing out the words, but it's all in good fun. ]

In any case, you better pull your own weight, got it? Or I'm keeping the materials regardless. [ Flashing a small grin over his shoulder, he'll be going ahead into the dungeon! Don't lag too much, bro. ]

[bro, really. He's going to catch up to Kirito in a few seconds, hey, at least this hunting session couldn't go wrong at all.]

Shouldn't I be saying it to you, Mr. Black Swordsman?

I don't know, more evidence points towards you being the possible liability.

[ Blunt. Klein, why do you still hang out with this guy. ]

Kidding. So, how do you want to handle things? You're the leader today, big guy.

[ Mostly because, he wants to witness Klein's leadership first-hand. Let's see how this goes!! ]

Like usual.

[Go in fast, get out fast. That's usually his guild's strategy when it comes to just gathering materials. It'd save them encounters especially when there's a huge level advantage for the party in this area.

It's a bit different when it's just the both of them, though.]

We smack them all down, and take the materials while they're knocked out.
